General Class Amateur Radio Bootcamp
The Georgia Tech Amateur Radio Club is excited to offer a General Class license bootcamp for students looking to take the next step in amateur radio.
Event Details
When: Mondays, 7:00–8:30 PM, starting March 2nd
Where: The W4AQL Shack
Format: Small-group, hands-on learning
This bootcamp is designed for students who already hold a Technician license and want to expand their operating privileges, technical understanding, and confidence on the air.
What the class covers
- Operating on HF, VHF, and digital modes
- Getting on the air with real radios and antennas
- Practical operating skills and best practices
- Understanding and using your own equipment
- Building confidence through hands-on experience
Sessions will be held in a small-group format to allow for questions, discussion, and direct time on the air. Because of this, space in the class is limited.
